CHICKEN BURGERS
For cooking convenience, use Volk's Cook'd Right Sensor to determine when your burgers are done. Work Time: 20 minutes. Total Time: 32 minutes.

Ingredients

| ground chicken breasts 1 medium carrot, grated (1/2 cup)

| green onions, minced
| | 1
| clove
| garlic, crushed with garlic press

| hamburger buns, warmed

| Sliced cucumber, lettuce leaves, and green onion (optional) |
Preparation
- In medium bowl, with hand, mix ground chicken, carrot, green onions, and garlic until evenly combined.
- On waxed paper, shape chicken mixture into four 3 1/2-inch round patties (mixture will be very soft and moist).
- Place patties on grill over medium heat and cook about 12 minutes turning over once.
- Use the Cook'd Right® Sensor to check doneness of patties. Quickly insert dark sensor tip into center of meat. Wait 5-10 seconds. Remove sensor tip and check color. Continue checking with the same sensor until done.
- Place burgers on warmed buns. Serve with cucumber slices, lettuce leaves, and green onions.
TERIYAKI BURGER
Same ingredients and proportions as above recipe.
Preparation
- In medium bowl, hand-mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons grated, peeled fresh ginger, and 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil and ground chicken.
- On waxed paper, shape chicken mixture into four 3 1/2-inch round patties. Mixture will be very soft and moist. (Prepare burger mixture immediately before cooking to prevent ginger from changing texture of meat.)Place patties on grill over medium heat and cook about 12 minutes turning over once.
- Use the Cook'd Right® Sensor to check doneness of patties. Quickly insert dark sensor tip into center of meat. Wait 5-10 seconds. Remove sensor tip and check color. Continue checking with the same sensor until done.
- Place burgers on warmed buns. Serve with cucumber slices, lettuce leaves, and green onions.
BARBECUE BURGERS
The cayenne pepper sauce is a milder variety of hot pepper sauce that adds tang and flavor, not just heat. Same ingredients and proportions as above recipe.
Preparation
- In medium bowl, hand-mix 2 tablespoons chili sauce, 1 tablespoon light (mild) mmolasses, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper sauce, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon salt and ground chicken.
- On waxed paper, shape chicken mixture into four 3 1/2-inch round patties. Mixture will be very soft and moist.
- Place patties on grill over medium heat and cook about 12 minutes turning over once.
- Use the Cook'd Right® Sensor to check doneness of patties. Quickly insert dark sensor tip into center of meat. Wait 5-10 seconds. Remove sensor tip and check color. Continue checking with the same sensor until done.

HERB BURGERS
Same ingredients and proportions as above recipe.

- In medium bowl, hand-mix add 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill, 1 tablespoon dried mint, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne) and ground chicken.
- On waxed paper, shape chicken mixture into four 3 1/2-inch round patties. Mixture will be very soft and moist.
- Place patties on grill over medium heat and cook about 12 minutes turning over once.
- Use the Cook'd Right® Sensor to check doneness of patties. Quickly insert dark sensor tip into center of meat. Wait 5-10 seconds. Remove sensor tip and check color. Continue checking with the same sensor until done.
