SEASONED PORK STEAKS
To easily tell when the steaks are
done, use Volk's Cook'd Right® Sensor during preparation.

pork loin steaks; each 1 1/2-inches thick

Steps for Preparation
- In a food processor, combine the garlic, onion,
green pepper, celery, jalapeño, parsley, thyme, lime juice,
salt, and pepper. Blend into a paste.
- Combine marinade with meat in a mixing bowl.
Let marinate for 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat broiler to 400°F or cook over
medium hot coals. If broiling pork on a rack on an oven tray, broil
for about 10 minutes on each side. Baste pork with extra marinade
as steaks are just turned
- Check for doneness of each steak using a Cook'd
Right® Sensor.
- Quickly insert dark sensor tip into center
of meat. Wait 5-10 seconds.
- Remove sensor tip and check color.
- Continue checking with the same sensor until
done.
- Discard sensor when finished.
- Steak is done when tip of sensor is fully
orange.
- Cooked pork should be firm and white throughout.
