VOLK HELPS PUT YOUR POULTRY IN MOTION

NORCROSS, GEORGIA - (January 19, 2000) - Volk Enterprises, Inc. will showcase its complete line of value-added products for the poultry industry in Booth #6213 of the International Poultry Exposition, January 19-21, 1000, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Volk will feature its line of trussing devices: the Hok-Lok®, Handi-Clamp®, and Clucker-Truss® - in addition to its signature products for the poultry industry, the Pop-Up® Timer, Cook'd Right® Sensor, and Rotisserie Clamp®.

The Hok-Lok® was the poultry industry's original turkey trussing device and the initial product launched in 1962. Since then, more than 2 billion units have been sold, which means 2 billion turkeys have been trussed with the Hok-Lok®. The Hok-Lok® is a metallic device holding the legs in place and providing a wholesome, attractive presentation of the bird. The Handi-Clamp® uses a unique nylon material to securely hold the bird while providing easy access to the body cavity for stuffing. The CluckerTruss® are elastic string ties that firmly hold the legs and wings of birds close to the body, facilitating roasting or rotisserie cooking.

Both the Pop-Up® Timer and Cook'd Right® Sensor aid the consumer by eliminating guesswork in both the home and foodservice kitchens. The Volk Pop-Up® Timer is one of the most recognizable features in turkeys, chickens and duck, with over 100,000,000 sold last year. It senses the internal temperature of poultry and "pops up" when done, assuring the consumer a perfectly cooked product each and every time. The Cook'd Right® Sensor uses a patented thermochromic technology to produce a vivid color change to indicate the internal temperature of the product - the fastest, easiest way to tell when your poultry product is done. The Rotisserie Clamp® provides an easy color-coded means of identifying rotisserie flavors while securely holding the bird's legs in place for cooking.
